Children do not have to wait until they are older to live their faith. Pope Francis reminds us that missionary work is also “the task of children.” Through prayer, kindness, generosity, and service, every child can share the love of Jesus right where they are.
St. Thérèse of the Child Jesus became involved in the Church’s missionary work when she was still a child. She later became the patroness of the missions, not because she traveled across the world, but because she offered her prayers and everyday acts of love for others.
Her life shows our children that even the smallest act, when done with love, can become something beautiful for God.
The Children’s Mission League gives our children opportunities to pray for others, help those in need, support the missions of the Church, and discover the joy of serving together.
Every child has something to offer. Every prayer matters. Every act of kindness can help bring the love of Christ to someone else.
We invite our children to join us, grow in faith, and discover how they can be missionaries every day.
